Saved by the City...
During the Summer of 2004, Costs Mesa replaced a storm drain pipe near our house with one several times larger.
The drain empties into a gulley which leads to the Santa Ana River a couple of miles away.

| Viewed from our mailbox, the drain opening is to the left and behind the large bush at the end of block. Were it not for this larger pipe, the rains of January and February, 2005, would have had our house floating down to the end of the block right along with the overtuned dumpster. |
